A smart-thinking customer brought their Porsche Panamera Turbo V8 in for preventative maintenance at 45,000 miles, asking how to avoid costly repairs down the line. Our team performed a complete service routine, including a full synthetic oil change with OEM/premium filter, transmission fluid and filter change, Porsche-spec coolant flush, spark plug replacement, brake fluid flush, a thorough underbody and suspension inspection, belts and hoses check, and both cabin and engine air filter replacements

The S63 engine in the 2020 BMW M8 Competition packs incredible performance, but it also has well-known areas that require careful attention. Just because your car isn’t showing any error codes doesn’t mean it’s in peak condition. At Euro Auto Tech & Smog, we’ve seen neglected M8s with cooling system failures, oil leaks, worn belts, and spark plug misfires—all of which could have been easily prevented with routine service.

A 2021 BMW M340i was brought in after the water pump pulley completely shattered, causing the serpentine belt to come off at high speed. The broken belt then cracked the radiator and damaged the radiator fan. The thermostat housing, belt tensioner, and idler pulley were all hit and needed replacement. Coolant and rubber debris coated the engine bay, creating additional challenges.

A 2019 Jaguar E-Pace came to Euro Auto Tech & Smog with a suspected coolant leak. Our technicians began with a pressure test on the coolant system and quickly found the culprit—a leak in the thermostat housing. We recommended replacing both the coolant reservoir and the thermostat housing, as well as two overflow pipes that typically break during the reservoir replacement.

When a 2020 BMW 740i arrived at Euro Auto Tech & Smog with a coolant leak, our team quickly went to work to identify the root cause. Through a detailed diagnostic process, we traced the issue to a failing oil filter housing, an increasingly common problem on BMWs equipped with the B58 engine.

At Euro Auto Tech & Smog, our certified technicians recently completed a five-day project on a Mercedes-Benz G 550 in La Mesa. The vehicle’s check engine light had triggered codes P0456 and P0455, leading us to a thorough diagnostic investigation. We traced the problem to a cracked fuel filter mounted directly on the gas tank, a rare but critical issue causing fuel vapor leaks.
